Scarface Review
Almost any Scarface review will consider Scarface to be one of the best American Gangster films ever made. Scarface stars Al Pacino who gives an unforgettable performance as Tony Montana, one of the most ruthless gangsters ever depicted on film. Directed by hit-maker Brian De Palma and produced by Martin Bregman, Scarface follows the violent career of a small-time Cuban refugee hoodlum who guns his way to the top of Miami's cocaine empire.
Written by Oliver Stone, Scarface is a remake of the 1932 Scarface film, telling the story of violence, power and corruption. No Scarface review would be complete without acknowledging the performance of Al Pacino as Tony Montana. Scarface was just one of Pacino's memorable and revered roles from the 1970's. Throughout the decade, Pacino received several nominations, rewards and commendable reviews for his film and stage performances.
